Fareed Football Club have joined hands to support and give back to the
community with giants plans for upcoming Nigerian youngsters.
Officials of Fareed unveiled the club at their camp in Lagos State on Wednesday 11 June, 2014. The event which was held in Lagos, was attended by Ex-internationals, players from football clubs and journalists.
It was gathered that FC Fareed, the club’s program will focus on identifying upcoming football talents in the grassroots and nurture them to become national players.
FC Fareed, eyeonthesports.com gathered, is open to all talented and aspiring youngsters. Fareed are designed to provide a structured platform for scouts, coaches, football authorities and other partners to tap into a vast pool of upcoming talents.
And, courtesy of the club’s program, FC Fareed will provide a platform for the youngsters to show their skills. Not only that, the club will build a strong football feeder’s team with a modern system to suit the Nigerian League and national teams”, President of the club, Smith Abiola Bayo said.
According to him, “The players have an opportunity to become good ambassadors of Nigeria and rise to play in any of the national U-17, U-20 and U-23 teams in the future”.
However, FC Fareed have signed and unveiled former Coach of Staruf Football Academy, Da’silva Adedeji as Chief Coach of the club, while they also appointed Oludare Oluwashina as Media Officer.
Also Ebhodaghe Fiedelis was appointed the Technical Director of FC Fareed. All the officials were signed on contract basis.
Meanwhile, FC Fareed will soon proceed on tour of Poland, Albania and Azerbaijan & Germany to engage their players in international friendly matches with some clubs, and use the chance to partner with other clubs that would partner with the club in helping the youths and community at large.
